アメリカでは、健康やダイエットのためにスポーツクラブに入会する人がたくさんいます。
これは日本も同じですが、もはや世界共通の現象と言ってもいいかもしれません。

記事の中に、American Obesity Associationの報告として、
“127 million adults are overweight, while 60 million are obese.”
とありますが、現在のアメリカの人口は約3億人（300 millon）。
overweightの大人がいかに多いかが分かります。
